General Information and Conditions |
Greenbus, Transport of Passengers Lda, in Rua Santos Pousada, 157 – 4th Floor | Room 16 – 4000-485 Porto, license number 1584/2009, has been developed to offer a High Quality service at the best price. Our company is fully insured, having all the insurances requested by the Portuguese law, through the international insurance company “Império Bonança” in the amount of 50.000.000,00€.
All our transports have total insurance of passengers. But our company is not responsible for damages or losses that are not directly linked with our services.
Terms & Conditions
- Prices quoted are per vehicle, all legal taxes included.
- Payment is required at the time of booking. All details provided to us for the purpose of the reservation will be assumed as correct. GREENBUS will then produce written confirmation of the details regarding the booking and the payment conditions by email. Such payment is strictly non-refundable except in circumstances where GREENBUS due to causes beyond its control, cancels or, at its absolute discretion, agrees to cancel the booking.
- After receiving the payment, we will send you the Voucher for your reservation. This must be presented to the driver or representative for both the outward and return trip.
- Where two or more people are included on the same booking, the person purchasing the booking shall be deemed to do so, on the basis that he/she acts as an agent for both or all members of the party and accepts these booking conditions on behalf of each member of the party.
- Please note that the contents of our website are aimed only at users aged 18 years old or over to purchase a Transfer, using the payment method required on our website.
- Please read all these terms and conditions bellow carefully before booking our services from the airport to hotel/private house, and from hotel/accommodation to the airport. By clicking on the "Yes, I have read and agree to the Terms of Service", you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions, as they may be modified and posted on our website from time to time. These terms and conditions apply to all transfers service supplied by us to you and we agree that these are the only conditions that will apply.
- All orders must be placed at least 48 hours in advance of departure.
- Please introduce well the flight number, times and origin or destination and the accommodation when requested, in order to us to provide a better service. GREENBUS accepts no responsibility or compensation for any lost transfer or departure’s flight because the client didn’t introduce the correct flight times and the accommodation during the booking.
- We promise that all transfers you purchase from our website will be performed with reasonable skill and care, as far as reasonably possible, in accordance with our agreement. We reserve the right to subcontract the provision of the transfer(s) to third parties and in such situations, our liability is limited to ensure that we use due care and skill in the selection of the third party to provide the transfer(s).
- The details of our prices for the Cars/Mini vans/ Minibus are displayed on our website. The price of any transfer(s) is the price displayed on our website according to the customers date, time and location order. We try to ensure that our prices displayed on our website are accurate but the price on the customer’s booking will need to be validated by us as part of the acceptance procedure. We will inform the customers if a transfer’s correct price is higher or lower than that stated in the customer’s order and the customers will decide whether or not to order the transfer(s) at the correct price.
- Luggage (conditions for the arrival/departure's transfer ):
- Clients who are carrying: excess luggage, surfboards, pets' boxes, wheelchairs or senior scooters or other over-seized luggage must inform us that is carrying this luggage; please note that it may be needed an bigger car therefore the price may increase.
- We won't accept any responsibility in carrying undeclared over-seized luggage as: surfboards, pets' boxes, wheelchairs or senior scooters.
- Any excess luggage/golf clubs must be declared at the time of the booking.
- Each passenger is allowed 2 items of baggage with a max.: Width + length + height = 158cm.
- Customers’ luggage and personal belongings are entirely at their own risk and no responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage.
- Customers are entitled to cancel the booked transfer by email.
- Customers may cancel their booking at any time (within office hours).
- For cancellations inside 7 days of the transfer(s) date, no money will be refunded.
- 14 days prior to the transfer(s) date it will be refunded 50% of the cost of the booking.
- All bank transaction fees concerning refunds will be supported by the clients at a rate of 5%, charged in the total to be refunded.
- In case of clients no-show at the arrival or departure's transfer no money will be refunded.
- The confirmation booking email is your ticket. This must be presented to the GREENBUS driver or GREENBUS representative for both the outward and return trip.
- For the Cars/Minibus service:
- The destination and pick-up addresses on your booking are the address to which the customers will be dropped-off and picked-up, except if the drop-off and pick-up places are unknown/private houses by us or situated in narrow streets where it is quite difficult for our minibuses to reach. In this case of unknown drop-off or pick-up places it is the customer’s responsibility to provide us or the driver the information or map to get at their accommodation or the customers will be dropped-off and picked-up in a well-known point on their resort/town.
- GREENBUS reserves the right to refuse to transport any customer who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or whose behavior is considered dangerous to the driver, the vehicle or the others customers safety.
- Customers are not allowed to drink any alcoholic drinks on our vehicles.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to travel with their booking confirmation with the instructions and all of the relevant local contact numbers and the GREENBUS Contacts (emergency phone and local office phone) and information of the Office working time. GREENBUS accepts no responsibility or compensation loss of transfer should the customers not travel with their booking confirmation.
- GREENBUS vehicles are non-smoking.
- Departure transfer procedures: the pick-up time on the customers booking confirmation has to be respected. ANY FLIGHT TIME ALTERARION MUST BE INFORMED 24 HOURS BEFORE THE DEPARTURE TRANSFER. We cannot accept any responsibility for customers who haven’t confirmed any time alteration and then are not collect and subsequently miss his/her return flight. The maximum time we will be required to wait is 30 minutes.
- GREENBUS will use every reasonable means to ensure that the vehicle(s) arrives on time to begin the period of hire and that it reaches its destination on time. GREENBUS will not incur any liability whatsoever in the event of any delay due to causes beyond its control. Vehicles are fully insured for passenger and third party claims, as required under Portuguese law. However, whilst every care is always taken, customers' property is carried entirely at their own risk and no responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage. Customers are therefore advised to check their own travel insurance.
- GREENBUS will endeavor to carry the passenger with the maximum of comfort and without inconveniences to his/her destination shown on the confirmation document. However circumstances beyond our control may prevent the achievement of this responsibility, the following are examples of circumstances which are not within our control:
- Accidents on the road
- Restricted vehicular access
- Severe weather conditions
- Vandalism and terrorism situations
- Unforeseen traffic jams
- Delays caused by other customers
- The vehicle being held or delayed by a police officer
- Unexpected mechanical problems
- In case of a confirmed no-show of our vehicle at the airport or at your accommodation (after the 24hours confirmation) we will refund the outbound transfer or the return transfer.
- If the customers have any service issues, the customers should direct them to us by email at greenbus@greenbus.pt.
- If GREENBUS fail for any reason within our control to deliver its passengers to their confirmed destination, GREENBUS will provide suitable transport such as another private car or taxi. Any reimbursement made by GREENBUS for the costs of an alternative means of transport incurred by the passenger to get to their ticketed destination shall be no more than the cost of getting to that destination by private car.
- Please note that GREENBUS must receive any complaints in writing with the booking number within 7 days after the transfer(s) date. GREENBUS will endeavor to resolve all within 28 days of notification.
- Portuguese Law will govern these conditions in all respects.
