Almancil in thr county of Loulé has become an important centre for the supply of Quinta do Lago and the Vale do Lobo, two tourist resorts of luxury located a few kilometres.
The parish has a good selection of restaurants offering local specialties and gastronomic variety of international dishes. In addition to other classes of trade, in Almancil are still excellent stores of articles of interior decoration, furniture and exclusive, good food stores and a large number of estate agents.
The Church of St. Lawrence, located near the center of town and whose interior is richly decorated with tiles of the century. XVIII, is an essential place to visit. Beside the church there is also a small but interesting cultural centre open to the public, which are promoted musical concerts and exhibitions of art. |
